Teri Helenese attended the Washington Association of Black Journalists 3rd Annual Special Honors & Scholarship Gala, presented by Wells Fargo. This inspiring evening celebrated the achievements of eight distinguished professionals, highlighting the importance of purpose-driven leadership and the power of collective action.

As a long-time advocate for education and professional growth, Teri’s commitment aligns closely with the gala’s mission. WABJ’s largest annual fundraiser supports scholarships for local student journalists and fuels year-round development programs, like the Urban Journalism Workshop for high school students, now in its 38th year.
