Teri Helenese had the honor of moderating “The Legacy of the Three Queens” panel during the Future Female Leaders Luncheon, themed “Shaping the Future for Young Women in Our Virgin Islands Communities”. Held at Government House on St. Thomas and St. Croix, the event celebrated the leadership and resilience symbolized by Queens Mary, Agnes and Mathilda. Keynote speakers included Dr. Safiya George, President of the University of the Virgin Islands (on St. Croix), and The Honorable Melissa Poppone Skerrit, Minister for Housing and Urban Development of the Commonwealth of Dominica (on St. Thomas). Designed for 12th-grade young women across the U.S. Virgin Islands, this empowering experience aimed to equip and inspire the next generation of leaders.
