Molloy, Chief Judge of the District Court of the Virgin Islands, and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), advocating for legislative changes. Together, they’ve focused on the Request for the Term Extension of Judges and the progression of H.R. 282. This bill seeks to address the disparities faced by territorial district judges by proposing a retirement age reduction from 65 to 50 after at least 10 years of service or extending their term from 10 to 15 years.
