Teri has been instrumental in promoting a robust agricultural sector, working closely with the National Governors Association. By leading the agenda of Governor Bryan’s and Governor Brad Little’s Education, Workforce, and Community Investment Task Force, she underscores the pivotal role of Congress in bolstering American agriculture through investment. Teri’s work with Governors encompasses supporting and securing funding for critical U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) initiatives. This includes expanding commercial agricultural export markets via the Market Access Program, supporting the Agricultural Research Service and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, and addressing challenges in forest management, water sustainability, and conservation efforts through the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Her efforts aim to sustain the vitality of the nation’s farming and ranching communities, emphasizing the importance of legislative backing in fostering a flourishing agricultural economy.
