Aalborg University Exchange Scholarship Program

Teri Helenese has spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative with the Danish Embassy to launch the Aalborg University (AAU) Scholarship Program, enriching USVI students’ academic pursuits. This collaboration ensures that 10 UVI students have access to a comprehensive scholarship program covering housing, meals, and travel, all within a 1 million DKK budget. Beneficiaries receive a monthly stipend, fostering their studies at AAU, which is celebrated for its top-ranking engineering programs and innovative problem-based learning model. The program promotes academic excellence through real-world problem-solving projects, nurtures global friendships, and encourages open dialogues in an informal educational setting. This partnership between the 175th Emancipation Commemoration Committee and the Danish Embassy exemplifies her commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for USVI students on a global stage, leveraging education as a tool for cultural and professional growth.
